Understanding Stepped Care & Links to Student Accessibility Services / Wellness at Centennial

Dr. Peter Cornish, Associate Professor and Director of the Student Wellness Centre at Memorial University, registered clinical psychologist, will be giving a talk for faculty and staff at Centennial College to inform the development and implementation of a new service model for the Centre for Accessible Learning and Counselling Services (Currently Centre for Students with Disabilities and Counselling Services). This session will include a review of the context of mental health / accessibility needs and service demands informing the need to move toward stepped care model, and identify strategies for meeting rapidly increased demand for mental health and accessibility services. This session aims to build knowledge and capacity within our campus community to support more responsive mental health and wellness services within the Centre for Accessible Learning and Counselling Services as of September 2019.
